Connecting a Custom Domain

You can host your Produkt.so help center on your own domain (for example, help.mycompany.com) to match your company’s brand and make your documentation easily accessible.

Step 1 — Open Domain Settings

From the left-hand sidebar, select Domains.
This will open the Workspace settings page under the Domains tab, where you can manage both the free subdomain and your custom domain.

Step 2 — Enter Your Custom Domain

Under the Custom domain section:

Click Connect now.
In the pop-up field, enter your preferred subdomain (e.g., help.mycompany.com).
Click Connect.

After you click Connect, Produkt.so will generate the DNS settings required for your domain.

Step 3 — Add DNS Records

Next, you’ll need to add a DNS record in your domain provider (for example, GoDaddy, Cloudflare, Namecheap, etc.).

Make sure to:

Use a CNAME record type.
Point the Value (target) to cname.produkt.so.
Keep Proxy disabled or set to “DNS Only.”

Step 4 — Verify the Domain

Once your DNS record is added, Produkt.so will begin checking for the update.
You’ll see a message like “Awaiting DNS” until the record propagates.

DNS propagation can take up to 24 hours, depending on your provider.

After the setup is complete, the status will change, and your help center will become accessible under your custom domain.

Step 5 — Test Your Domain

When DNS verification is complete, open your new domain (for example, help.mycompany.com) in your browser.
Your Produkt.so help center should now be live under your custom domain.
