Using a Free Subdomain

Every workspace in Produkt.so includes a free subdomain, allowing you to publish your help center instantly without needing your own domain setup.
This is perfect for testing, internal documentation, or quickly sharing your content.

Step 1 — Open Domain Settings

From the left-hand sidebar, select Domains.
This will open the Workspace settings page under the Domains tab, where you can manage both your free subdomain and custom domain options.

Step 2 — Choose a Subdomain Prefix

Under the Free subdomain section, you can create a subdomain for your help center hosted on produkt.so.

1. In the Subdomain prefix field, enter your desired name (for example, xyz).

2. Produkt.so will automatically check if the subdomain is available.

3. If it’s available, you’ll see a confirmation message like:
   “Domain xyz.produkt.so is available.”

Step 3 — Save Your Subdomain

Once you’ve chosen an available subdomain:

1. Click Save.

2. Your help center will now be accessible at the generated URL (for example, xyz.produkt.so).

If you change your subdomain later, the previously used one will be disabled automatically.

Step 4 — Open Your Help Center

After saving, click Open subdomain or the Open button in the top-right corner to view your published help center.

Step 5 — Next Steps

You can use your free subdomain as your permanent help center URL or later connect a custom domain (e.g., help.mycompany.com) for full branding consistency.
