Managing Multiple Languages

Produkt.so allows you to make your help center multilingual, enabling you to serve customers in their preferred languages.
You can add new languages, manage existing ones, and set a primary language for your workspace.

Step 1 — Open the Language Settings

From the left-hand sidebar, select Languages.
This will open the Workspace settings page with tabs for Appearance, Languages, and Domains.
Make sure the Languages tab is selected.

Step 2 — View Supported Languages

Under Supported languages, you’ll see a list of all languages currently available in your workspace.
Each language you add will appear here as a tag.

For example, you might see:

  • English

  • German

These languages can be used to create and translate articles or collections.

Step 3 — Add a New Language

To add a new language:

  1. Click Add new language.

  2. Select a language from the dropdown list.

You can choose from many supported languages, such as French, Spanish, Japanese, or Polish.

After selecting a language, it will be added to your workspace and displayed in the Supported languages list.

Step 4 — Set a Primary Language

Your Primary language is the default language displayed when a user’s preferred language translation is unavailable.

To set or change your primary language:

  1. Click the current primary language button.

  2. Choose another language from the dropdown list.

This ensures your help center always displays content in a fallback language.

Step 5 — Save Changes

Once you’ve added or changed languages, click Save to apply the updates.
Your help center will now support the selected languages, and you’ll be able to translate articles directly within the editor.
